Love and care was all around in the hotel - you could feel the genuine effort that the owners put into satisfying all the clients. The rooms were simple, but very nicely designed and very clean. Stunning sea view. Large & clean pool. Extensive breakfast with homemade cakes. Very nicely decorated place with great attention to detail. Extremely helpful staff who take genuine interest in their guests - all you have to do is ASK and Matteo (who speaks English well) will help you out. Owner offered us free lunch because our tour to Mt Etna had to be postponed from AM to PM due to car problems that he could not foresee.

A wonderful place to stay Great location, right on the water. A modern
hotel built into an historic building. The room was adequate in size and
amenities. Parking is close, but it is in the blue spaces so you need to

My family and I loved every minute of our stay at the beautifully renovated La Gancia! We stayed with a 4 month old baby and the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and happy! Personal attention and courtesy was given by all the staff: at reception, breakfast bar and evening drinks. Thank you Residence La Gancia, we will recommend you to all our friends.

The hotel is on the main road and easy to find. Walking distance from Alcantara gorge. Very relaxing place. We had the pool almost exclusively to ourself. We even haf a small bar b q by the pool! Very good location if you like to discover east Sicily, very peacefull accomodation just relax in the garden around the mountains and orange trees (you will need quiet and relaxing enviroment after all-day drive in Sicily).The kitchen is very good they just use organic(bio) food mainly from their gardens or from the village. The Alcantara just 3 minutes.

The island had been closed for any boats because of weather, so the owner contacted us and proposed to change for the next day. However, it was in November - low season. The rooms with sea view are great (because of the sea view). There is also terrace with swings and chairs. Rooms are big, with small kitchen and old styled furniture. Very cosy. J

Excellent location few minutes walk from centre of Stromboli village, large spacious well equipped room with terrace overlooking sea and mountain behind. Staff able to book trek to crater for guests, breakfast served at nearby bar with good choice of items. Main reason for visit was the crater trek, but found that there is so much more to do on the island.

Loved the reception, both staff and room. When they gave us a ceramic bottle of water "old style, works by evaporation to keep the water cold", I knew we had landed somewhere "real". This was quite a find, and perhaps 2 kilometers from the ruins at Agrigento. The recommended restaurant, las pinetas, rounded out a perfect stay. -

Nice restaurant on site with beautiful local produce, the breakfast is also very good.

The location, up a private road, was superb giving wonderful views of
the surrounding countryside and even a glimpse of the sea. The
restaurant was excellent as was the service. Tomasso, one of the
waiters, was excellent and also very funny! Breakfast was moderate - we
had better breakfasts at other hotels during our trip. -

Great dinner, reasonably priced, and breakfast; lovely walks. SOme of the facilities, such as gym were not available for some reason but we did not really mind.

Il Borgo is a simple, quiet and friendly hotel perfect for really getting away from it all. Dinner has to be pre-ordered but the quality of the food was excellent and good value. - great reception with drink, very friendly, great breakfast

Perfectly situated next to the beach with views along the coast and the old town. 2 minute walk to cafes and restaurants. The staff were all welcoming and professional. Room spotless and comfortable. Even supplied insect repellent although no problem with mosquitoes in April. Breakfast included local fresh fruit. -

We LOVED our stay at Torre di Renda. The most spacious room out of 9 hotels that we stayed in during our stay in Sicily. Fantastic views over the town and countryside, from the swimming pool just as well. Very friendly staff, most enjoyable dinner! RECOMMENDED! -

Agriturismo Reggia Saracena is central to various places of interest near Agrigento. We really enjoyed our stay there as Guiseppe (the owner) was very helpful and friendly. Guiseppe the owner is great - he cares and looks after his guests. It is a rural place which has its beauty - a little oasis near Arigento where you arrive and you feel welcome.
Try the wine from the own production - its beautiful and don't miss out on the dinner there, its perfect!
Really good value for money and done with good heart!

I had my own room and my own washroom as requested. There was mainly 1
lady that was running this place. But she was reallly sweet! And a
really helpful. She speaks only Italian, however she was very co-
operative. Whenever I gave a slow response in English or German, or even

The staff was super-friendly. The manager/owner came to pick us up late in the evening, gave us some great tips for restaurants, and answer to any question we had. Super nice.
The location is superb as well as the building itself, a beautiful ex-convent - very picturesque. We couldn't ask for more!
