The Petrara Resort is a charming agriturismo resort in Avola. During our stay there, there were no wandering farm animals except for a couple of cats. What a haven of peace & tranqulity set in beautiful gardens with a very inviting pool - we had a lovely time just wished we`d stayed longer.Our hosts couldn`t do enough for us and even followed us out in the morning to make sure we got on the motorway ok - thankyou for a very relaxing stay.

Great location, very accommodating.. Very helpful staff, very close to Fontana Bianche.. The bicycles available for free on the property were a great way to get to the beach and rocks. The restaurant on site is amazing.. The wait staff was incredible and very accommodating.. -

My wife and I stayed at the residence Degli Agrumi for 2 nights. It has an excellent location in the centre of town with the bonus of private, safe parking. Immaculate rooms - we had a lovely rooftop terrace from which we could glimpse the sea. Comfortable bed, kitchen facilities and washing machine. The pool area was great with a stunning view over the bay. The snack bar served excellent salads and paninis for lunch. The accommodation was spartan but clean and comfortable and well-designed so that you stay cool even at the hottest part of the day. The staff were very helpful and considerate and the shuttle bus down to the town is a great benefit. Ring or e-mail ahead and they will pick you up from the ferry when you arrive.

My family and I loved every minute of our stay at the beautifully renovated La Gancia! We stayed with a 4 month old baby and the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and happy! Everything! The very best agriturismo we have ever stayed at. The accommodation was so sympathetically converted with great attention to detail. We thought the baglio was physically very beautiful - its restoration/gardens and its location on the mountain top. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious! We LOVED the pool, and the fact that wine could be brought to the poolside for our enjoyment. The games room was excellent - a well-planned area for playing bridge and pool.

Wonderful large room with balcony overlooking hills and local mountain village; restaurant doesn't give options but this does not matter as each course was great and service very friendly. Swimming pool super size and not crowded when we visited. Totally relaxing.
