  We had a wonderful stay at Hotel El Jebel. We were traveling with our kids, ages 4 and 6, and the staff could not have been kinder or more attentive. My son declared it "the best hotel he had ever stayed in," and he was not far off.   What a great hotel! The sea view from our room was spectacular! Hotel is really in the heart of it all. Staff was friendly and helpful. Some have commented on the lack of parking but the reality of the tiny island of Ortygia is that driving the narrow streets *barely* wide enough for 1 car is a challenge. Fantastic location, spacious room and a view from the 3rd floor up.
