Great hotel. Room we stayed in was huge, spotless and very clean. The
bathroom was huge and spotless. The breakfast buffet was fantastic,
with an excellent variety of fuits and other staples. The staff were
helpful and very friendly. If you decide to stay here, there is a
reastaurant around the corner with a waiter named Nikko, he'll take
care of

Rooms were well appointed and everything worked. Good firm superking sized bed in a standard room. A lot of the original stone had been built into the deisgn and was well done.Very quite. We had a back room 415 and with the shutters closed it was silent. In summer if you wanted to open the shutters there is an aircon machine nearby which is noisy.

The Petrara Resort is a charming agriturismo resort in Avola. During our stay there, there were no wandering farm animals except for a couple of cats. What a haven of peace & tranqulity set in beautiful gardens with a very inviting pool - we had a lovely time just wished we`d stayed longer.Our hosts couldn`t do enough for us and even followed us out in the morning to make sure we got on the motorway ok - thankyou for a very relaxing stay.

Great location, very accommodating.. Very helpful staff, very close to Fontana Bianche.. The bicycles available for free on the property were a great way to get to the beach and rocks. The restaurant on site is amazing.. The wait staff was incredible and very accommodating.. -

Nice hotel. We had an amazing view. It's old, it's Italian, don't have the highest expectations. AC didn't get cool in our room, but it's was around 75F so not too bad. Parking is really minimal. All staff in the hotel were amazingly helpful. Their knowledge of the local area was really useful. The hotel is in a great location for historical sites. The staff were fantastic, the waiters and on reception. Excellent hotel, walking distance from the cable car going up Mount Etna.
We arrived late at night, but the man at the reception was extremely nice!! He explained all excursions, answered all of our questions (millions of them), and was able to share with us his love of the volcano. This certainly made our stay.
The room was great, super clean, wifi is great.
