Charming village on the verge of abandon in the back hills of Imperia. Very friendly and helpful young landlady who spoke very good English and equally friendly elderly ladies helping with the service. An excellent hotel, away from the crowds in a pretty village. A picturesque church, locals bar (very friendly) and a frogs chorus in the evening added to a really enjoyable stay. Elena the owner helped us plan our days. We enjoyed the recommendations of the restaurant at Imperia, the market town of Pieve di Teco and the beach at Alassio. Warm welcome in italian style ! Good location between Camogli-Rapallo-Portofino and Cinque Terre, 8 km from Sestri Levante. Nice garden, parking in the court, good accomodation, wifi, welcome drink, various breakfast with homemade foccacia. All you can wish for. But the most important, the owners, Francesca & Renzo were very friendly and profesionals. They presented us tourist highlights of Liguria Levante and provided maps of the area.

It is down a windy, very narrow dirt road overgrown with plants. -
We stayed at this hotel on our way to Portofino, as there were no other better options close to the village. Options more close to Portofino were either too expensive or more inferior, including shared toilets etc. So this hotel was a perfect stay for comfort. The rooms and the bathroom were very cleans and beds comfortable. The hotel also offers a kitchen area where you can cook and store your stuff. Breakfast was not great, but I can still sat that it was OK.

Villa Agnese is a beautiful hotel in a not-quite-as-beautiful turnoff
from the autostrada. The rooms and grounds are obviously treated with
great care by the staff; it felt like a luxury apartment complex. We
enjoyed opening our patio doors onto the swimming pool area and sitting
in the adjacent garden area. Parking is ample and is located in a gated
area. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

We stayed at Meridiana 4 nights and it was a real pleasure.
The place with beautifull gardens and the swimming pool was very lovely and relaxing.
Not to mention the restaurant, food and wine.
We also played golf in the nearby golf course.
As a whole it was the best start for the vacation and we will be back for sure.

Sanremo is a bigger town on the Ligurian coast, excellent base for doing
day trips to many of the small sea side towns or villages in the hills.
The town offers a decent selection of restaurants as well as shopping.
Hotel De Paris is situation next to the Casino at the

habour are a 10-15 walk away.
