Very comfortable beds with lights that don't disturb others. Quite cheap, good breakfast for additional price.
It was a half-populated 16 person dorm, but it was comfortable to stay there.
It is on a separate island from the city center, but public transport is working all the night so it's not a problem.

It was in a very nice area of San Marco, right by all the high-end shopping and 2 minute walk to the square. It also was one of the cleanest rooms I've ever stayed in. - Great location. Room was fantastic, smart decor, lovely and clean, bathroom fantastic!! Pleasantly surprised!!

The location is perfect. The staff, especially main guy (goatee guy), were v. helpful and friendly. They arranged our gondola ride and answered our questions fully. Casa Petrarca was a wonderful place to stay in beautiful Venezia! The location is hard to beat in my opinion, less that 5 minutes to Piazza San Marco, 10 minutes to the Rialto bridge. The staff were exremely friendly and helpful. The reception was open on a 24hr basis and so arriving at night was no problem. The room was comfortable and very clean and the bathroom brand new. a lovely gentleman from reception desk greeted us when we arrived by coming downstairs and carrying our heavy luggage upstairs to second floor, then gave us a great overview of Venice and helped with directions and how to get around. I like the location - it's less than 10 mins walk from the train station. It's also surrounded by good restaurants (incidentally, a very good one just next to the hotel).
The room was clean and had an attached bathroom. The aircon was working nicely - no weird smells.

The place is easy to find and easy to go to everywhere.
The single room is big enough for one person and is clean. They make it clean everyday.
Even though it is shared bathroom I found it not very busily used so I don't have to wait for long. But you need bring your own shampoo and showering gel.
