The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was raining and they had umbrellas for us to use. The service from Daniel, tge manager, was the best experience in a lifetime of travel. He treated us like family.
The balcony overlooking the gondolas was classic. I highly recommend this and consider the price to be a great value in the context of an expensive city.

We stayed at the Casanova apartment. The owner met us in the square where the apartment is and he was very friendly and showed us around the flat, gave us a map of the city, told us where the nearest vaporetto stop, supermarket etc is located.

The apartment (vivaldi) was very clean and the staff friendly. They didn't have a booking for our last day so they let us check out at 6pm. The apartment is not only central but in a proper strategic spot, everything was only 5 minutes away. It was warm, comfortable and gave lots of privacy.
