Residence Il Borgo is just 40 metres from the Lido di Bellagio beach on the peninsula of Bellagio. It offers modern apartments, each with air conditioning, wood floors and free Wi-Fi. Apartments at Il Borgo come with parquet floors and some have wood-beamed ceilings. Each one has a fully equipped kitchenette with dishwasher. The residence is 100 metres from the nearest bars and restaurants and 800 metres from a supermarket. There is a free public park 300 metres away. Set in Bellagio, it is just a few steps from the harbour for boats across Lake Como. The nearest train station is a short boat ride away in Varenna. The elegant villas of Villa Melzi and Villa Servelloni are a short walk away.

The apartment was spacious, well equipped, clean and very well positioned right in the centre of shops and restaurants. Our window looked out over the roof.Flavio, the landlord was very helpful. He met us at the port and guided us through the narrow streets on his bike. The streets were busy with lots of pedestrians and driving a big car was a challenge. Flavio helped us find suitable free parking and helped us with our cases. He also speaks very good English.
όλα τα σχόλια » The apartment was great & well appointed to look after yourself. While Bellagio is small, it is located in the middle, close to everything! We were running late due to a missed train connection & didn't have a mobile number to contact Flavio or Sylvia. It was raining when we eventually got there & were very happy (& relieved) to find Sylvia waiting outside for us to arrive! Really appreciated & would recommend Il Borgo. Sylvia was very accommodating. She had just left but came back to meet us and let us in. The apartment was in a great location, just over 1 block from the water and really close to all the restaurants. Our apt was on top floor, so having an elevator was a bonus. The apt was clean and quite spacious for the 2 of us. There was an extra bed which we did not use. Would definitely recommend to others. Owners were so helpful and friendly,met us on the main street to help us to the accommodation,came down straight away when we knocked the electricity out by using too much at once(oven & washing machine).Apartment is spacious,clean,cosy and bathroom is large and modern with a great shower.Apartment is brilliantly located with many shops and restaurants on our doorstep. What a wonderful host - Flavio! Our luggage and our flight were delayed but Flavio came to pick us up from the ferry dock despite the heavy rain storm at 7pm and we were soaked (no umbrella, no proper rain gear because they were packed in our suitcase). Had a nice hot shower, working heater, warm towels, and a bed! Would stay here again when I'm back in Bellagio. Flavio was a fantastic help and we really enjoyed the stay. The room was very comfortable and had a very nice atmosphere, almost like staying in a log cabin on lake Como yet we were right in the middle of Bellagio in a great location. Location was in the heart of the old town of Bellagio. Although we didn't have a lake view, the 1BR apartment was comfortable, clean and easily accessible. Silvia was a delightful host and helped us with anything we needed. Location, Location, Location! The room was located directly in the center of the town of Bellagio which made it easy to get around. The Owner was very friendly, they went to pick us by car at the ferry even being very close and they also have good tips on restaurants in the area. That we didn't get to enjoy Il Borgo Residence more at Lake Como because we spent one whole day going back to Malpensa airport to get our luggage because United Airlines weren't sure if they can deliver our luggage in a timely manner since we just started our Italy trip. Make sure to take luggage as carry-on when taking a European trip that requires a connection from the West Coast. We didn't like having to leave! To help with this the staff were very friendly and let us take our time as they were not busy. Thanks again. Very little indeed! Having the bedroom in the mezzanine and the bathroom on the floor below (with a very steep staircase inbetween) The bed was a bit too hard for me. The bed was a little hard for my taste. The TV and shower screen need updating. Hard to find unless you organize a rendezvous prior to arriving. Free parking was about 5 mins walk away. Address not easy to find, due to insufficient signage. Limited parking @ the church square. Need to use ferry if coming in from Menaggio. The bed was rather uncomfortable. I can see a new matress required soon. The staff was almost never there. Office hrs are 9am - 1pm yet check in was from 2pm. So we arrived at office and it was closed, but a phone number was provided. We didn't have phones with international roaming so a nice local had to ring for us. Also had the same issue when we went to pay before leaving. Went during office hrs but no one was there so had to ring again and wait. It's apartment accom so there's no reception. No ironing facilities. Bed not quite like US hotels. no balkony. Thin ceiling amd no carpet above so high heels at 6am woke us up. Other than that great. Lots of steps up to apt.too. no good for old folks.
