  The reception had been really nice and helpful. He recommended a transitional Icelandic restaurant to me and helped me booking tours and offered tourism advices. I love the kitchen, it's cozy, clean and open for 24 hours. During my stay, I lived in a mixed beds room and the bunk bed was very comfortable and there were two shared bathrooms next to ... τι λέει ο κόσμος » my room. It is such a nice and warm hostel and it is highly recommended. - It was so clean, and you didn't check in, you got an email telling you how to get into the hostel / your room. I arrived at 2 am and went right in and went to sleep. It is nicely decorated and so many things to read to show you what to do. The owner called a bus for me to get me back to the airport and I saw her eating lunch with some guests - she is very nice. I felt very safe.

  All of the reception personnel were extremely gracious and helpful. Nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble. They answered questions, confirmed tours, made phone calls to check on things in other towns, made great suggestions about places to eat and buy things, and gave directions to get around.   We were a family group: Grandpa, Grandma, Daughter, grandsons ages 11, 12. We needed affordable lodging near shopping and public transportation. Downtown Reykjavik Apartments (dra) met and exceeded our requirements. The dra is just 2 blocks from one of the main bus stations in Reykjavik. From that point, one can travel anywhere in the City. The main shopping/walking street begins at the bus station and extends a number - We booked the smallest and cheapest available room (the double studio). We also saw a family studio which was bigger and again very clean and pleasant. I asked to upgrade our room as I wanted a bit more space (the prices are very reasonable and I was happy to pay more). However when the owner and Thora heard it was the last leg of our honeymoon, they upgraded us to a 3 bed

  The location is tremendous! I travelled with my wife and another couple. We spent 3 nights here to start our trip then rented a camper van to travel the country for a week. OK Hotel is on the best main tourist street in the city. That being said, we stayed out late (some bars are open until 0600) on a Saturday night and the hotel is far enough removed tha - Everything went very smoothly - there's no one physically on reception, just a telephone to ring for details of how to get the key etc, but we had no problem arriving at midnight and there was always someone on the other end of the phone if we needed help or information. Very accommodating letting us leave our bags somewhere for a while after check out. Very well equipped kitchen with crockery, utensils etc. and we appreciated the fact that there was already tea and coffee available. Excellent

  The staff was superb! The desk personnel were extremely knowledgeable and helpful regarding the sites to visit, excursions to take and places to eat. The cleaning staff was diligent in getting your room clean and tidy yet left personal items as you left them.
