We rented the studio apartment for a week. We were making a first visit to the University. Innkeeper Thorri was very helpful and kind. As we walked around Reykjavik, we never saw a better value for this level of amenities and character. We love staying in historic and cultured homes like Gastafell. The 1 bedroom apartment was fully equipped and in a wonderful quiet location but literally minutes from everything. Breakfast was excellent.

We rented two Hansen apartments (lower and top levels) and found them to be excellent value. Both apartments were extremely clean and just as pictured. We especially liked the fact that the location was terrific. A very short walk to downtown area and famous church. We even walked to the bus station (about 4 or 5 blocks) to catch the Fly Bus b

The apartment is really big, which is about 62 sq m. It is so clean and comfortable. The best part is the kitchen, you can find everything there, even for oil, salt, tea bags etc...The host is very nice, he showed us where to go, the supermarkets, shops on a map and welcomed us with orange juice! There is a phone which is connected to the host's cell phone. So, you won't have to worry and there is always someone for you to ask for help during the stay. Good clean and warm guesthouse. Very warm, casual and homely welcome from owners Edda and Runar. Very clean, comfortable and warm room with good fast wifi Internet. Breakfast buffet incredibly good, and they will accommodate you if you need some extra rest in the morning.
