  The room was an apartment, and gave us a lot of room to spread out. Close to all major attractions and bus lines. The breakfast was the best that we had in our three weeks in Germany. Guests also have use of the sauna and whirlpool baths, which was welcomed! I would definitely stay here again. The Hotel is away from the tourist part of town, but a short walking distance to everything. A taxi ride from the train station is best unless you're a hiker with a backpack and wish to walk.   The best hotel I've ever stayed in! The staff were absolutely fantastic, and so helpful with everything. The wooded area was very peaceful and beautiful, with the city completely out of sight and sound, yet so near. I do suggest taking the bus - walking with luggage took a lot longer than expected, especially with a hill at the end. I hi - We've been travelling for over three months now and this is the best hotel we've stayed in. The staff were amazing; the rooms were clean and quiet; wifi was reliable; the breakfast was a huge buffet and there was coffee to go. It was great to leave the car in the free carpark and walk the 2km across the Mosel River into Trier - an amazing historical city.   Cleanliness and friendlyness of staff - On the first day, the staff welcomed us with a little basket with fresh fruits, while it was not included in our reservation at all. That was a very nice surprise.
