The owners of this Gästehaus are very friendly and accommodating! They were sure to greet you on every passing! The room was comfortable with a great view of the Zugspitze (not all rooms will have this view). It was a little bit out of the city (5-10min drive) but or the price, you can't really complain! Very quiet! -

Great room! This room was probably the best room we stayed in during our 3 week tour of Europe. Very clean. Great patio overlooking the large backyard. Ease of checking in and out. The breakfast was generous and the service was excellent. - A very warm welcome and a very helpful host when it came to eating in the town and suggestions for our travel the next day.

The hotel can be reached via the Zugspitzebahn, bus or taxi from the Garmisch train station. This is a lovely place, although next time we would get a room with the water view and stay longer. The hotel is located in a beautiful spot, below the highest mountain in Germany. It was used by the US military at the end of WWII. In addition to the lake, there is an indoor swimming pool.
We would like to return here for a family reunion as there are enough activities in the area for all ages.
