  This small hotel is beautifuly located on the edge of Grainau village with stunning views of the mountans. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed a small balcony overlooking the garden. Breakfast was excellent although we were surprised to find several dogs in the breakfast room. They were well behaved though and we soon got used to them.   We liked the location of the hotel in the picturesque village of Grainau, and also the traditional chalet design. Our spacious room with balcony looked out at the Zugspitze which was spectacular.   We had a great view of the mountains from our room and it is very close to the major ski areas. Our room, including the bathroom, was extrememly clean. I had plenty of hot water for a nice shower after skiing. There was a nice fire in the bar/lobby area with comfy couches for relaxing. Our dog enjoyed his stay as well. :) We hope to stay again. - The hostess spoke very good english and was very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful, as well as the view and surrounding area. The restaurant food was absolutely delicious and cooked fresh (it was the best food that I had in Germany). There was not a single thing that we did not like about this hotel. It was excellent!
