Location and cost Firm beds, air con requires key in slot. But room cooled off fast enough. Cleanliness is hit or miss. Toilets seat was dirty upon arrival but fine rest of time. Really friendly, good location, helpful with great kiwi hospitality and good yarns and recommendations. Clean and near the riverside. Staff was helpful and nice. Nice and helpful staff.
όλα τα σχόλια » In the centre of Phnom Penh, close to the river and eating/drinking areas. Also close to the Royal Palace and the market. This is budget accommodation and you get what you pay for. Wifi in room was particularly good. The location is great. Walking distance to the Palace and the river. There is a very big local market nearby. The staff were very friendly and had a pleasant bar area. The hood was also good. Friendly staff Good location Clean towels and sheets. Did respond quick to emails. Arranged bus ticket for me even before I arrived and paid. Blue Kiwi is in a really good location!. The location is the only good thing. Avoid room on 5th floor- no lift Shower was one temp only and not much water pressure Bring your own shampoo. Lots of stairs. Haha but I got fit!. Lots of steps to climb! Was told that we were allowed a late checkout. However when asked again to confirm, was told otherwise. Lack of proper cleaning. Be aware tha there is no lift and if you are not too fit, the 3 or 4 floor can be a long way away with baggage. We were ok, but just a reminder. Sound proofing not too good with badly fitting double glazed external balcony doors having at least an inch gap, so street noise is easily heard. The reception counter is also the bar table so guests may smoke there. Don't like the smell. The bathroom door didn't close which it not brilliant when you are sharing a room with 3 people,. Smoking is allowed Cockroaches Holes in the bathroom wall. Don.t like smoking hotels and the "lobby" smells like an ash tray. Bathroom was slightly smelling (assume bad pipe system in phnom penh) and fruit flys have been there. Could hardly sleep bc it was so noisy. U can hear everything through the walls. Would not stay there again. The staff did not give us much information about the area, did not have a map to help us get our bearings and the tuk tuk driver they booked kept trying to charge us more money for the day trip we booked, even though a price had already been agreeed! We didn't pay any extra but was very annoying he kept asking and tried to not take us to the killing fields!. We stayed there one night with my friends. The sheets were not clean and the bathroom was awful, so in general quite dirty with some cockroaches too! When we asked the staff for information and help on booking things, they didn't know anything, they only gave us a map of the city! Last but not least, the "bar" downstairs was full of older foreigners with young local girls.
