  It was a lovely, old farmhouse/manor house with real character. The grounds were lovely, the rooms were comfortable, and the breakfasts were enjoyable. It depends on what you want, not as slick as travel lodge but has heaps more character, house in doomsday book! Say no more!!! I loved it and going back soon.

  The hotel was lovely. The setting was beautiful, the rooms were spacious, attractive and very clean. The whole setting had a wonderful atmosphere. The food and drinks were excellent, and the staff could not have done more to make us comfortable.   This hotel is Excellent! It had everything that you need and everything was in working order! Continental breakfast was good! The design of this hotel is just beautiful! We had a room on the top floor (no elevator) but the stairs weren't bad! We had a beautiful view from our room looking at the beautiful garden! They offered good suggestions for dinner and gave directions. The room was magnificent! Large and airy with a beautiful bathroom. There was even a separate sitting area in the room and lots of space to move around the room. Location excellent and walkable to the Roman baths and city center. Highly recommend!

  The highlight of this hotel has to be the breakfast - it is easily the best I've ever had, and if i were to return to Bath, I have no doubt I'd stay at this hotel again. The staff were very polite and welcoming, and the room was absolutely spotless. Although we booked a standard double room, we were lucky enough to be upgraded to the family cottag... was die leute sagen » e - which given the chance, I'd love to buy - as it was perfect! The bed was enormous and comfortable... and I'm going to try and track down what duv - What a fabulous place to stay with a family! We had a 2 room suite-kids on the fold out couch and us in a huge king size bed. Plenty for kids to do, play ground fabulous, and lots of new things planned for the future at Brittons so we'll be back. Very luxurious, beautifully designed and warm under floor heating ( and it was COLD outside)! Hosts were great, super friendly and made us feel very welcome! The in-room breakfasts were fantastic, kids loved there coco pops! Oh and loved the Portugese

The room (which was actually an impressively large suite including a kitchenette - much more than we thought we had booked) was very clean and furnished to a very high standard. Everything felt very new and clean. Good central location with plenty of parking space. Had a great stay and was impressed by everything.

  Easy check in, very friendly and helpful receptionist. only stayed one night and arrived a little late due to getting lost in Bristol city centre. Receptionist arranged for the hotel bus to pick us up from hotel and take us to, bungalow restaurant, who she rang to say we were on our way to eat. The room was clean and comfortabl - Decided at the last minute to stay at the Forge before early morning flight. Staff very friendly and efficient, accommodation small but very comfortable, as well as tea and coffee also included cereals in room for breakfast and mini fridge with milk! Taken by mini bus to their own pub free of charge and collected, all staff extremely cheerful and helpful. Would definitely recommend it. Could not be nearer to Bristol airport.

The decor, the pub itself, the room was fabulous.. little things like giving you fresh milk in a flask to have with your tea rather than the horrid little cartons, even the shower gel was nice.   The way we were met on arrival by Chris. Even at 9.45pm he came and got our television working at the cost of an electric shock to him from the aerial. The quality of the food and the overall service and pleasant manner of the staff. Dog-walking in February can be a muddy experience, but the owners had even thought about a 'hosing down' place.   Stayed here on the way to Glastonbury festival last week, ideal location about 40mins away from site. axebridge is lovely little village with everything you need in one square, ideal hotel, clean and faultless! Seriously can't stress how impressed we were with this plac - This B & B is lovely. The staff and food make this place shine. The design/decor is tasteful and compliments the age and style of the building. The restaurant food is complex, tasty and although portions sizes are small, because of the richness in the food it is sure to fill you up! The wine list is very reasonable and there is a good selection of wines to choose from. We would defiantly stay here again and recommend it to our friends.
