It was a lovely, old farmhouse/manor house with real character. The grounds were lovely, the rooms were comfortable, and the breakfasts were enjoyable. lovely beds very comfy, like stepping on the set of pride and prejudice!
It depends on what you want, not as slick as travel lodge but has heaps
more character, house in doomsday book! Say no more!!! I loved it and

offered good suggestions for dinner and gave directions. The room was
magnificent! Large and airy with a beautiful bathroom. There was even a
separate sitting area in the room and lots of space to move around the
room. Location excellent and walkable to the Roman baths and city
center. Highly recommend!

This was our third stay at The Griffin - and I am sure we will stay there again:
staff are always very cheerful, helpful and welcoming;
location is great for exploring Bath - near station as we travel by train and central for shops, theatre, etc.
Breakfast is fine, as are the bar snacks and range of beers and wines. -

The highlight of this hotel has to be the breakfast - it is easily the best I've ever had, and if i were to return to Bath, I have no doubt I'd stay at this hotel again.

What a fabulous place to stay with a family! We had a 2 room suite-kids on the fold out couch and us in a huge king size bed. Plenty for kids to do, play ground fabulous, and lots of new things planned for the future at Brittons so we'll be back. Very luxurious, beautifully designed and warm under floor heating ( and it was COLD outside)! Hosts were great, super friendly and made us feel very welcome! The in-room breakfasts were fantastic, kids loved there coco pops! Oh and loved the Portugese

Lovely atmosphere, tables were spaced well apart in the restaurant so you didnt feel overlooked. Great food and varied menu and lovely comfortable rooms. The staff made you feel at home and couldnt do enough to help. - Friendly staff and Breakfast cooked to your satisfaction.

The receptionist was very helpful and welcoming - the tea and cake on arrival was a nice touch, as we were both starving! The room (which was actually an impressively large suite including a kitchenette - much more than we thought we had booked) was very clean and furnished to a very high standard. Everything felt very new and clean. Good central location with plenty of parking space. Had a great stay and was impressed by everything.

Easy check in, very friendly and helpful receptionist. only stayed one night and arrived a little late due to getting lost in Bristol city centre. Receptionist arranged for the hotel bus to pick us up from hotel and take us to, bungalow restaurant, who she rang to say we were on our way to eat. Decided at the last minute to stay at the Forge before early morning
flight. Staff very friendly and efficient, accommodation small but very
comfortable, as well as tea and coffee also included cereals in room for
breakfast and mini fridge with milk! Taken by mini bus to their own pub
free of charge and collected, all staff extremely cheerful and helpful.
Would definitely recommend it. Could not be nearer to Bristol airport.

Our room could not be faulted, and wi-fi reception was excellent. Dog-walking in February can be a muddy experience, but the owners had even thought about a 'hosing down' place. We were spoilt for choice at breakfast, and beware the size of the evening meals if you value your waist line. Overall, a top class experience which we expect to repeat .

This B & B is lovely. The staff and food make this place shine. The design/decor is tasteful and compliments the age and style of the building.
The restaurant food is complex, tasty and although portions sizes are small, because of the richness in the food it is sure to fill you up! The wine list is very reasonable and there is a good selection of wines to choose from.
We would defiantly stay here again and recommend it to our friends.
