  This was a perfect break. The staff are such a friendly team and really go out of their way to make guests feel welcomed. The views out over the fells make you feel relaxed in the first 5 minutes.   The room was quirky inasmuch that it was on two levels with a beautiful refurbished bathroom, a dressing table area and wardrobe, then up four stairs to the bedroom and sitting area. Nothing was lacking in facilities. THe restaurant and bar areas were always busy and popular with walkers and visitors to the area. I shall definitely stay at Wateredg - The Wateredge Inn is in a wonderful location right on the lake. The views out to the boats bobbing on the lake were lovely. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable as was the bathroom. The inns lounge and dining areas were very nice, with again a beautiful outlook. The two Scottish sisters who waited on us for breakfast were lovely and friendly as was Ryan the bar man. The countryside around Ambleside was really beautiful and well worth a longer visit.

  Debbie is a wonderful host and we will more than definitely be returning here if we were to travel to the Lakes again. The room was very tidy and exactly what you would need from a B&B, if not more. There was even a television with DVD player and a huge selection of DVDs to choose from - excellent for one of those rainy evenings. I would like to personally thank Debbie who assisted us and attended all our demands. I would certainly recommend the place to my friends who will visit the place also to travellers and tourist who are looking for comfortable and convenient but very affordable accomodation.

  The staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely room, fantastic view and amazing food - if you stay there you have to eat in, you won't find better food anywhere. - Very friendly. Just what I needed for the brief stay.

  We liked everything! The suites are perfect, with lovely appointments. The owners are exceptionally helpful and friendly. It's very very clean. It's close to everything at Waterhead and only a mile from Ambleside, with good bus service to everywhere in the Lake District. The shower was neat because you could program it to the exact temperature and pressure you wanted it. The provided coffee, milk, biscuits, and hot chocolate were _sublime_. It was more like staying in a hotel with the freedom of self catering, although you could dine in the hotel across the road if you wished.
