We stayed in the new Silver Suite - it was extremely comfortable with a most beautiful view across the water.
Needless to say, but the food was magnificently presented and absolutely delicious.

Comfortable room with magnificent view of the lake. We had originally
booked for two nights but had to leave after just one night due to
family reasons - hotel staff were very kind in this regard. Excellent
breakfast.

They also has great suggestions for child-friendly places to eat and a wonderful location where we could walk wherever we wanted to go. We wanted a real good value pub as a walking base for the weekend, we found one right in the middle of the lakes. From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't do enough for us - big thanks. The food was straightforward, good quality and great value. The beer was exceptional and again great value. We loved all the fires and so did our dogs. The rooms we ok, nothing special, but clean and comfortable. We will be returning again.

the hostress, Phillipa (hope I didn't wrongly spell her name) was very kind. She welcomed us with delicious tea and cookies, and provided us some milk and cereal when she heard we had to catch up an early train and would miss the breakfast - hmm, the breakfast was quite good here. The room was clean and cozy, enough space and we even saw a deer outside the window. Overall it was really nice stay, I could understand why this guesthouse could get such a high rating.

As a cycling group, several of us arrived late but they kept the kitchen open late to feed us which really was appreciated. Breakfast was fantastic and set us up well for our second day of cycling! Lovely place with friendly staff.
