  We booked a 4-poster with Jacuzzi for a last-minute weekend break. We were not disappointed. Trevor, the owner made us feel really welcome, showed us around the property and took us up to our top floor spacious en-suite room. Conveniently located hotel near the centre with plenty of off-street parking, which a lot of places in Ambleside do not have. The bedroom was not large but adequate, the kingsize bed being comfortable. Large bathroom with spa bath. Cold buffet breakfast was extensive and very good. Pleasant helpful efficient staff.

Breakfast also excellent (you could order classic English, continental breakfast and even salmon), wi-fi, TV provided but not so interesting because nature outside is very beautiful.

The location is fantastic, easily accessible by car, with a reserved parking space included in the price of the room.   Nothing which I can point out to complaint abt this place. It is gorgeous hostel with the reasonable price in the best comfortable and perfect condition. It has the awesome location, a very very friendly staff. Out room is spacious and comfortable. Besides they also provide for guests a big and clean kitchen as well as many stuffs to cook by ourselves. It is thumb - Extemely welcoming staff. When i got delaid on the train and emailed the hostel to check they would still have someone on reception they responded straight away. Breakfast was well worth the price, it was a little noisy with kids but nothing i wouldnt have expected. My single room on the third floor was surprisingly roomy with several bathroom in the vercinity. All in all, great staff, brilliant value for money super setting (right on the lake) will deffinitely be back!

It's close to everything at Waterhead and only a mile from Ambleside, with good bus service to everywhere in the Lake District. The shower was neat because you could program it to the exact temperature and pressure you wanted it. The provided coffee, milk, biscuits, and hot chocolate were _sublime_. One staff member couldn't have been more helpful when I asked him for plates and cutlery, as we were getting a take-out! Great value at £70 per night.   The hosts Sue and Ray were very friendly, casual and flexible. When I needed to get up earlier than their hours for breakfast they still made me breakfast, and it was very delicious. I stayed in one of their single occupancy rooms with a comfy bed, sharing the large bathroom (which was no problem at all) and was a great bargain. The facilities were excellent and I will definetely be returning to ambleside and, 3 cambridge villas is top of my bed and breakfast list. Also due to the bus stops being directly behind the b and b, you dont have to worry about driving. You can virtually jump on the bus and travel anywhere in the lake district
