  We shared a two bedroom unit with friends on our way to Milford Sound. We arrived well before book in time and asked owner to store our luggage so we did not have to take it with us to Milford.   The very first impression was cheap and bit tired. However, the second look was a far more positive: the apartment was simple, yet perfectly functional and very very spatious. Very good and free wi-fi. Parking right in front of the living room. - The owner of this hotel was very friendly and helpful and booked our trip to Milford Sound for us. The room we had was very comfortable with a nice garden setting to sit in and enjoy the lovely weather we enjoyed while touring the South Island. We would certainly recommend this motel to our friends and family.

She gave us great advice as to when to leave for Milford sound, not to book unless you are going or lunch cruise, early morning tkts are easily available. She also upgraded us to a better room, the view from the room was excellent. My wife loved the place. Some people complain about sand flies in the room, but we had the windows open all night with no bites. Te Anau is a great location for visiting the sounds and the lakes.

There is a 24 hour laundry facility on site with free washing machin - I had a wonderful stay at Fjordland Lakeview Motel and Apartments. The heating was excellent, and very welcome after tramping outdoors, it was very clean and comfortable, and there were luxuries in the details like the toiletries and complete utensil set in the kitchen. The lakeview from the garden literally outside our door was truly spectacular, and it is a short and easy walk to town centre or the conservation centre. The staff were warm and helpful. I would definitely go back there to stay,
