  The view is priceless, sitting on the balcony people watching with a glass of ?? is what made our trip. We went with another couple and they were in the room next to us so that we could sit out and chat. Although the hotel rooms are basic they have all you need and were cleaned regularly. We hope to return next yea - The balcony view was amazing. You can see all the harbor. The room itself was simple but clean. There is soundproof balcony doors (the harbor is noisy throughout all the night). The staff was helpful, we got some tea for free to enjoy in our balcony. We liked the breakfast as well with a glass of fresh orange juice. I would definitely advice it for other travellers (be sure to book a room with a balcony and sea view).

The facilities at Madonna Studios are excellent, but the real difference is Thomais. - I liked the room which was big and bright, I could easily prepare my own dish as the cooker, coffee maker, kettle were provided or go to the tavern which was just across the street. the landlady was very helpful, kind and she even baked for us traditional cakes with cheese!! we had fresh flowers every day too.I stayed for 3 days and truly enjoyed it.

They let me check in early and because it was towards the end of the season they upgraded my room from a double to a quadrouple. You can book excursions around crete through the hotel. I booked a hike to Samaria Gorge, the old man at reception woke up and made me breakfast before the hike. It's also right on the town beach and 10 minute walk to the old part of Chania.

  As I could not find any comprehensive review on this hotel here is mine. Me and my wife (in our early 30ties) stayed in the hotel recently for 8 nights. The hotel is family run by two very friendly and welcoming brothers who sometimes joined by their father who is also very welcoming. Location is very convenient. Although in the residential - Relaxing rooftop terrace as there was not a swimming pool due to central location. Close proximity (2 minutes walk) to local harbour and sandy beach, great location and better value meals & drinks to old town. However the old town is only 5 minutes walk and a charming place.
