It is a fancy place--beautiful, clean, and polished. Every staff member is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our hotel room was a palace! Very comfortable king size bed, sitting area with table and chairs, patio with view of harbor with table and chairs, a kitchenette in the room stocked with dishes, utensils, cooking pans plus refrigerator. The bathroom was lovely with a heavenly large shower.

I have also discovered this to be a jewel of a hotel residing about ten metres away from the harbour front. Our room was not what I expected and I was told they were fully booked. After 3 nights I checked on letsbookhotel.com and discovered they had a suite available and we were moved. I think it was a misunderstanding and they very kindly did not charge us for the upgrade. I would highly recommend an upgrade to a 'suite' a large room with two sofas. They let me check in early and because it was towards the end of the season they upgraded my room from a double to a quadrouple. You can book excursions around crete through the hotel. I booked a hike to Samaria Gorge, the old man at reception woke up and made me breakfast before the hike. It's also right on the town beach and 10 minute walk to the old part of Chania.

  As I could not find any comprehensive review on this hotel here is mine. Me and my wife (in our early 30ties) stayed in the hotel recently for 8 nights. The hotel is family run by two very friendly and welcoming brothers who sometimes joined by their father who is also very welcoming.
