  I loved the atmosphere of the hotel. It was luxurious and very classy for what I paid (35% discount). The room was amazing with an awesome view of the harbor. Our room had lots of space for our little one to zoom around in his walker & was at the far end so nice & quiet. The owners were lovely and made us feel very welcome.   I liked that the Metropole is in the middle of town and is close to the railway station for those without a car. I liked the historic building with its lovely old, but well maintained structures, including the walkway from the back carpark to reception. It is a delight walking through the area with its ferns, goldfish, etc. - Location was great... was die leute sagen » great. Close to all site seeing and also cheap great food and shops. Hotel was old school setting as well as modern which was great. I will be staying again later this year and will recommend this hotel to everyone going to the blue mountains.

  I had the unfortunate situation of having a migraine headache on the morning we were leaving but had several hours to pass before making our way to our cruise ship. My fellow travellers went for a walk whilst I sat in the reception area. This lady's kindness was above and bey - Craig, the manager, was a treat and very helpful. The hotel is within walking distance of terrific views of the Opera House and Harry's Cafe de Wheels. They have a handout that provides lots of tips about how to get around Sydney and things to do while in town. It was our first trip to Sydney and we only could stay one day before heading to Tonga, but we will return someday for a longer stay and would definitely consider staying at Mariners Court again.

Would definitely stay there again. - We where looking for a motel in this area as a stop over from Sydney to Melbourne, after we visited the Blue mountains in the afternoon. The Colonial Lodge is a perfect stop for this. The rooms and the bath was refurbished and we had everything we need. Everything was perfect clean and the parking is just in front of the rooms. The owners are really friendly an help out with every information you would need.

The shared bathroom worked just fine, after all, nobody goes on a trip to stay closed in a bathroom do they?
