  The hotel room was very well appointed with a comfortable bed and a very big flat-screen television and sitting area. The breakfast (included in the nightly rate) was great and provided a variety of hot and cold items.   Nice historic hotel with a great location, next to imax, around the corner from the Alamo and 1-2 block walk to the lively area on the Riverwalk. Great base for walking to most downtown spots. Quick trolley ride to the Market Square. Clean and simple rooms were just what we needed. Staff were - The location is the key factor, actually next door to the Alamo and very close to the Riverwalk area and the Mall. Felt safe to walk in these areas even late at night. Staff was friendly and helpful. It is a standard room in an old historic hotel, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast that was included was good. The city bus from the airport stops just four blocks from the Crockett, an easy walk passing over the Riverwalk,

  I met a friend for a week away and we both loved the hotel and its staff. We especially liked the shuttle service for airport and local transport to dining spots and the access to down town and the area via the highways that were very close.
