  Thw location is perfect. We walked uptown, downtown, to the arena for a eric clapton concert. We parked the car and never had to use it. We walked back from Boubon st at 1:30 in the morning it was safe and an easy walk. The hotel was very quiet, and the bed was the most comfortable we had on our ten day trip staying at high end hotels. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job the room sme - What made this place stand out from the other hotels was the staff. They are very friendly and comply to every request of the guest. I have stayed in many hotels and this hotel by far has the best front desk service. I also like all the amenities that are located in the room which include a refrigerator and a microwave. In my opinion those are essential needs of a traveler.

  I stayed on the Pontchartrain during early December 2013. My room was nicer than what I expected. Should I visit the Garden District of nola again, I will choose this hotel. Btw, the hotel staff are very charming and helpful! - The hotel is located in a nice quiet area and by nice restaurants. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Very friendly and helpful stuff Hotel itself is very historical and interior will take you at least a century back. I could recommend it for special events as well if you are looking for a charming atmosphere.
