  At arrival the door man and bell staff were very friendly. The rooms are large and beds very comfortable with soft linens. Bathroom has a GREAT separate shower with large tub very nice.   This hotel is boutique style, which we always prefer, with an upscale, elegant mixture of traditional and modern decor, and not corporate or pretentious or stuffy at all. The rooms are both elegant and very comfortable and just the right size, decorated with a mixture of period pieces, old jazz photogr - Excellent front desk staff member Jason really made my stay a good one. The special touch of a collection of my favourite snacks for my second stay there value-added to the whole experience. The location was excellent and safe for getting to and from the french quarters and the convention centre. The cafe red gravy down the road was a fantastic place for breakfast each morning!
