The room was very comfortable and clean, the staff was friendly, the
premises were well kept, and the price was right! They even upgraded me
to a double-queen room when I had originally booked a single queen
(before I knew my adult daughter would be staying with me), for less
than $8 more. The location is just a couple of miles from the aquarium,

This was an older facility but our "cottage" had been remodeled and was very nice. Perfect for traveling with two children as there was two bedrooms, one with twin beds, one with a queen size. There was a very comfortable kitchen with new appliances but we stayed only the one night so it was not used. A good spot for a longer stay. The room was very clean.

the motel is located between Carmel and Monterey. We have stayed at least twice a year at the Padre Oaks. The staff is more than friendly and efficient - the rooms are adequate in size but the pillows leave a lot to be desired. Glad we bring our own. The property is wonderful - all with beautiful flowers and well cared for. Its a sure and dependable inn and close to the Monterey Shopping Center with shopping and dining spots. We will be returning. Thanks, Carol
