The host was extremely helpfull and could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms are excellent and ideal in this case as our 9 month old puppy joined us on our recent holiday to the Scilly Iles. We stayed at the Farmers Arms to break up the return journey. Food in the evening was excellent as was the breakfast , wine sellection really good and well priced. Could not fault the service and would book again in September. Many Thanks.
所有评语 » Excellent all round, extremely friendly and helpful. Customer service was great, with 2 young children the room was fantastic and we had our own little patio area. The staff were more than happy to bring our delicious steaks and wine to the patio so as we could relax with our children asleep just through the doorway. Breakfast was superb...really can't say enough about the farmers arms..... The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Gorgeous room and lovely space. We were going to eat somewhere else as didn't like the look of the menu but due to time constraints we ate in the restaurant and thank goodness we did. The food was exquisite. This is a real gem of a place and we could not recommend it highly enough. We were made to feel very welcome, with our son of ten weeks old and our working cocker spaniel. The luxury room we had chosen was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. We enjoyed afternoon tea on our arrival which was yummy and our evening meal was excellent. There was also very good walking near by. Phoned ahead as I knew I would arrive after they stopped serving. Asked for a sandwich but was offered a choice of hot dishes, very impressed and more so as it was very good. Owner and staff were very polite, attentive and most importantly very friendly. Lived the decor and feel of this lovely guest house. Our room was huge and we couldn't have wished for more. The meal was lovely, well Cooked and hot! I have only one criticism and this is small - I would liked to buy champagne by the glass. The bar was exactly what you would expect from a country local,warm and inviting.The staff made you feel like one of the locals,and the locals were also very welcoming.Food and room were excellent.I will be returning. Excellent large Room, Comfortable bed and nice seating area.Very good meals, polite and attentive staff, Excellent Breakfast. Nice siting out areas in quite countryside location Will use this place again. This was our second stay. The room was spotless, the hospitality first class and the food was to die for (you have to try the chef's beef stuffed with stilton...). Will definitely be going back. Good countryside location,but handy for M5 and Taunton. Excellent clean sizeable bedrooms,rustic bar and restaurant area,spacious garden,attentive young staff. Super quiet location, yet close to Taunton and gateway to the West Country. Excellent facilities, excellent food. would recommend to anybody. Excellent value. Noise from the rooms upstairs and from the noisy plumbing system Bed very short and this feature not highlighted enough on letsbookhotel.com or local website. The welcome was Amazballs! the room was to die for and the bath was luxurious. I would not hesitate to return and recommend. Exceptional value for money. Food was excellent, varied and good value. The classic hidden gem. Lovely warm surrounds nice people, good food good service and the room was lovely and spacious . Will definitely return. Sporadic loud noise from water system late at night and early morning Inadequate WIFI and not good area for Vodaphone 3G. The Wednesday steak night ,we thought it would be the steak off the main menu reduced in price but it was a budget steak of dubious quality. We made our thoughts known but received no feedback from the management. The starters were good,my advice would be stick to the menu. Nothing to dislike. Noise from the rooms upstairs and from the noisy plumbing system Bed very short and this feature not highlighted enough on Booking.com or local website. Nothing. Initially the lack of wi-fi as I was on a business trip. However the Farmers Arms is very comfortable and quiet, and made me realise we all deserve downtime without email access! So not really a complaint. There is nothing not to like. Nothing. nothing. Room was very hot....had to turn heating down immediately!. Plumbing quite noisy - otherwise no complaints whatsoever, a great place to stay. Not much really. Wi-fi not operational. Not a major issue, and owners say they are addressing this week. Lack of wifi. Noisy cistern which I hope my husband mended. Bath, no shower. There seemed to be some sort of problem with the plumbing as the pipes would bang every time a toilet was flushed. Nothing. Noise levels in rooms - no soundproofing - and we were woken very early on Sunday morning with the noise of a family before 7.30am. Not at all what we expected on our romantic weekend away! Some fixtures in bathroom had broken and not been fixed. Shower attachment only in bath caused flooding and mix up on bill wasn't easily rectified. Maybe a bit too pricey?.
