  This is our second residential stay. The managers are new - apparently a husband and wife team - and I get the impression that they know their business and are taking this place very seriously. The breakfasts were superb. We also ate our main meal in the bar on both evenings and the food is excellent - cooked b - We stayed in the family room (Room 5) which had 3 bedrooms: I double, I twin and 1 single, so plenty of room for a family of 5. It was also in the main building at the top, so you get some nice views. The shower in this room was really great. I mean, really great! Hot, powerful with nice shower gel and shampoo too. I know, it sounds weird commenting on the shower, but it really was awesome! I'm gonna book in here on my return from Glastonbury next year just so I can have a proper wash and scrub

  The comfiest bed I have EVER slept in at a hotel of any kind in my life! Basic but has everything you need. Lovely owners, helpful, there when you need them, but not getting in your business when you don't want. Offered very varied breakfast options and supplied extras for our special dietary needs. Would stay again and would definitely recommend. - The owners were really welcoming and helpful. Helped with the bags and hung up my still damp jacket that I had to wear to the wedding I was going to!!!! Breakfast was lovely and again nothing too much trouble. Really lovely feeling to the place, bedrooms were nicely furnished and beds really comfortable. Really nice place and good value.

  Booked at last minute to stay the night before we did a half-marathon. Very comfortable room, clean & spacious. Double-glazing to prevent noise from high street. Owner extremely welcoming & eager to help - was happy for us to return after our run to shower even though this would have been after check-out time. It was a lovely little place with fantastic service, a superb breakfast, a very pleasant room and absolutely nothing to complain about at all (not that something to complain about what I look for!). The price was very reasonable too (£47pppn for one person in a twin room). I thought it was excellent with unbelievable value for money. I'd definitely stay there again.
