  The pool was superb, good hearty breakfast(full English), only a 20 min walk into town and a hotel with free parking(unusual for York).   This could have been just a pub with rooms in a great location. But in fact it's a really nice place to stay - in a great location! The staff are very friendly and go the extra mile to make sure you have what you need to enjoy your stay. They were very child-friendly too. The full breakfast was very good and plentifu - Enormous room - twice the size of most hotel rooms - with very comfortable bed and armchair.
