All I can say is that if you want to be treated like the only one at the hotel, The Grand is the place to go. The staff are excellent in all respects. Beds/pillows wonderful. Lots of towels in the bathroom. Spa - fab. Breakfast, lunch and dinner - a must. What more could you ask for - nothing.

Everything about the stay was excellent, from the moment we dropped our bags off (earlier than check-in) to actually being shown the room (bed was so comfortable), to the bar and bistro.
Found all staff excellent, very friendly and very helpful (recently back from Las Vegas where I stayed in a supposed luxury hotel! everything was the complete opposite too the Hotel du Vin).
Both of us wished we had booked that extra day!

We wanted an inexpensive place to go for the bank holiday weekend, and couldn't have made a better find! Such a beautiful countryside location, with lots of long walks easily available for a perfect relaxing weekend. The staff was incredibly helpful throughout our stay, full of recommendations and very friendly. The location is remote, so there's not a lot going on, but it is easily accessible by bus (make sure you bring cash, there's no ATM nearby!) and surrounded by lovely fields. Definitely
