  The village of Houghton is a little gem just an hour away from downtown London. This Band b was very close to the home of friends (our primary reason for visiting Houghton), but we are thinking of including it on our next trip to England, just to be able to explore more of the walking paths around the area. Our room was large with a spacious bath thru the wardrobe (I kept expeciting to open the wardrobe to - Cheriton House is situated in a quiet part of the village of Houghton, near Huntingdon. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, even taking us by car to our daughter's house in Hartford on one occasion. You can get around by an efficient bus service. Breakfasts were excellent with bread made from nearby Houghton Mill and home made jam and marmalade Church just across the road has magnificent kneelers. Worth a visit if it is open.
