For the price what was on offer was excellent, amazing value. The room, whilst basic in design and decor, was clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the shower was superb. The staff were fantastic, very polite and courteous. A great example of this is that we mentioned to the girl on reception (Spanish girl - think called Elena?) on the Saturday morning after the first night of our 2 night stay, that we needed our air con checked to ensure that it was working ok as we h.

I stay in hotels 44 weeks a year all over the country from budget to luxury and I was treated so well here I won't hesitate to return and recommend this hotel. The staff could not do enough for me despite booking .com not informing them I had even booked! The beds are very comfortable and no noise from other guests heard unlike in the ibis budget in cardiff, I'd much rather drive a few miles down the road t. I have never stayed at your hotel before and got very lost on the way where Sam on the reception desk really helped me on the phone find my way as I was panicking slightly, but she was great and offered me a free coffee when I arrived. That was so kind of her. My room was lovely, such a soft cosy bed and the shower was gorgeous. I also booked with your hotel knowing my car would be parked overnight in a free and secure carpark. Also what I paid for my one night stay was great value for money. W. For the price paid, it was a fair deal. You will get just what is needed with no extras! Good Car park, nice beds with a bunk bed for kids. Room is not very sound proof as even a little conversation can be heard in other rooms. Friendly staff and not so bad service. As I said there is no room to expect much for the price I paid. I just needed a place to spend the night and I have no regrets!. Excellent value for money. Fantastic showers. Staff very accomodating, printed out map to nearest cheapest petrol station and recommended excellent pub withib 10 mins walk for an evening meal. Access to motorway and countryside. I would stay here again for a one night stay very clean bed ok. Ibis, formerly ETAP is situated about half a mile away from the city centre and close to other local shops. The hotel is a sleepover hotel and every room is standard. Clean comfy and fairly spacious. Very close to M4 but great sound proofing couldn't hear it. Breakfast was fab - full continental and lovely warm croissants each morning. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Plenty of parking. The only drawback is the location as it is a bit isolated (next to a fire station and business unit) and not in the prettiest of areas. The location I really didnt like as it was very misleading, as I saw the hotel and was driving thinking I was heading to it but really I was heading in the wrong direction!! Continental breakfast an option which was good value. We resided for three nights and not once was the room cleaned or garbage removed. Guess this is part of being a budget hotel in UK. Need a surface other than the bed or floor to put suitcases on. Room very basic but OK for money. Right next to Motorway, but double glazing not bad !!!!. Would have liked some easy comfortable chairs to sit in in reception, also a small bar, although the comfy chairs would be welcome. nothing. No coffee or tea facilities in the room and the cost of snacks from receptionist are extremely high. Bed was firm which was fine for me but some may find it a bit too hard. Bunk bed was not available to under sixes and this was not advertised before hand so husband was on bunk and 3year old and I was on double bed. Not an issue but people should be aware. Because of the soundproofing (double windows), we did find the room a bit stuffy, but would rather have that than constant road noise. Blurb said toiletries provided - this was just a very small bar of soap - go prepared. We both found the excessive firmness & hardness of the bed very very uncomfortable, and we both had very very stiff backs with difficulty to move for some time afterwards. The light position to the side of the mirror shone directly into the eyes of the person using the mirror, which should have been placed over the top of the mirror. Loo was very low. No kettle for tea or coffee in room. That the price quoted on letsbookhotel.com for breakfast was lower than what I was charged when I arrived. It was only a small difference (4.95 as compared to quotation of 4.25) but it's the principle ... Little bid miscommunication in between the staff from one dhift to other. Nothing really unless I wanted a bit of luxury. But for £34, I really couldn't complain. The room was a bit clinical but I would recommend this budget hotel. Would prefer tea/coffee facilities in room (and would be prepared to pay a little extra). The Newport hotel is ideal, but Newport as a place leaves a lot to be desired. The town centre in the evening was dead - couldn't find anywhere to eat or have a drink. Not enough parking. The bunk bed. My wife hit her head on it!. Directions to parking behind the hotel were too vague. Of course its easy when you know!. Little bit confusing finding the hotel via Sat Nav. Maybe street signing at junction?. Air con broken, Very close to lifts, noisy and noise from housekeeping staff outside room despite putting do not disturb sign on door due to feeling unwell yet constant shouting and even vacuumed against my door!. Would have been useful to have tea making facilities in the room. there was no tea/coffee making facilities with your individual rooms. N/A. Comfort is not at its best, but still worth the cost. The lack of basic kettle in room was disappointing seeing I had to make baby bottles of milk. Had to go to reception where they gave me tokens for hot water from the drink machine. No tea or coffee facitilies in room. Not enough towels & pillows. Not many tv channels. Unable to make a hot drink in the room. Cleaning staff woke me up despite do not disturb sign on door. The room was cold. For the price I would not have anything negative to offer. Perhaps an in-room guest notice book (about availability - or not) of E.g hair- dryer, extra pillows. Guests should recognise the good value for money and not expect this to equate to other accommodation. Would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in room. Coffee too expensive. Nothing. Unable to make a hot drink in the room. the location was a bit off puting.
