My initial expecations of a high standard were reassured by the exterior of the building , then the welcome of the manager who was informative and helpful .I requested a quiet apartment and was not disappointed . The apartment was ideal for a sole traveller ; high spec end of units and appliances and well thought out us of space to suit my independent nature and need for freedom , not the restraint of hotel timetables . Great location . I will stay there again .
所有评语 » excellent to have a small apartment instead of a hotel room, very good value for money. Has everything one needs in an apartment, even for a few days (kitchenette, fridge, crockery, cutlery). Nice modern and decoration, very comfortable. Modern flat screen TV and even an iPod docking station! I would go here again for a short city trip in London. Easy walk from Russell Square and to British Museum, Univ of London. Just opposite Charles Dickens House. It was the most comfortable, modern and immaculately clean apartment that I have ever had the pleasure to stay in. Apart from one or two fairly insignificant marks on the carpet I would never have known that it was not absolutely brand new. I found a great Italian restaurant around the corner a short walk away. That was great too. All in all a very satisfied and quite surprised guest. We were upgraded from a studio to a very spacious and luxurious double apartment in this lovely townhouse - what a treat - thank you! The apartment was very clean and beautifully decorated throughout with high-quality furniture / bed-linen and towels. Also located in a very quiet street, although still close to amenities (lovely pub/restaurant on John Street) and central London. We had a basement room with our own garden...I also stayed in the top flat which was a bit much stairs wise. The apartments are spotless, have everything you need and beds are so comfortable. Location is good as very near tube station and lovely little restaurants nearby and lots of sightseeing to be had. Great welcome, but don't forget there's no receptionist so have to be there before 9pm kitchen and fittings all very high quality (NEF) and well maintained very clean and spotless condition quiet location (in terms of noise) at night, very safe area. The staff were all very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The location was very good and the quality of the room as a whole was very high. Good facilities, clean, tidy and overall a very pleasant experience staying there. Very clean, with excellent facilities for cooking in the apartment and close to lots of family friendly eating places if you prefer to eat out. Close to Russell Square tube and perfect for Corums Fields play park. Clean unit and pretty good value for money. Less than 1 km to the Russell Square Underground Station which is useful if taking the Picadilly line in from Heathrow. I like the space living in the apartment brings. The kitchen is well stocked. The area is excellent and the local amenities are within easy walking distance. Clean and good location. The apartment itself was clean and tidy and the kitchen was relatively well equipped. Two minor things ; the mattress needs turning and the water was very hot in the shower no matter how cool I set it . that no breakfast is available even at extra cost, but this is compensated by having kettle and tea/coffee available. No staff on site after 9 pm (but phone number provided). Nothing. Checkout very early for a Sunday - would be good to have the option to check out later if requested - perhaps for additional fee. We were advised on checking in to remove our rubbish from the apartment when we left or receive a fine, but there was no designated area to leave the bag. The fact that I had a billing issue and they were a complete disaster and never resolved the issue. The having to be there before 9pm on the first night - sometimes an issue for a business traveller, maybe a key lock with a combination code they could share with you might help. The kitchen sink was little bit small and difficult to use. It would have been nice also to have been provided with some washing powder for laundry (washing up liquid and toiletries were provided which was good). Could be hot in the summer as there is no air conditioning. A small point, but the TV was really annoying in it's function (or lack thereof). This is my second visit and had the same room. Unfortunately now the carpet was stained and the mattress needs replacing. There was no information or password for the free WiFi. The staff member who met us, although pleasant could not speak English very well. Nothing all was good. Only one room key was a pain. May be the cleaning staff could be a little quieter when having a chat, but they were all lovely people working hard. No lift so one needs to carry suitcases up all the stairs. Only 1 keycard offered, which is a major headache if it does not work. Ask for 2 before check-in. Nothing. wrong directions provided - was Red Lion Street and not Doughtt Street. Shower door hung the wrong way, which made it difficult to switch shower on and off without getting completely wet. Stayed in apartment 11 and the tv when left on over night switched to a very adult porn channel which was a bit shocking to say the least. Single bed tad short for tall persons 18 cm). bathroom a bit small. A minor point, but a frustration .... TV remote was very slow to change channels. Bed was hard Room too hot on arrival (but could open the window) It was a basement room. It was expensive for what it was. No dishwasher. No phone, therefore not able to contact head office nor housekeeping. Managed to email head office, didn't receive response for 7 days. Wasn't given instructions for oven, nor site of communal bins. Wasn't informed of time for room cleaning until knock on door by housekeeping. On the day before leaving was disturbed by housekeeping again stating 'You leave today!' I informed her it was the following day. Then I asked for toilet paper and was told 'You buy!'. The shower was a bit complex and the taps unlabelled. No lift, no air-conditioning, tiny studio flat. Very difficult to reach people. A representative was supposed to wait for me but, when I arrived, there was nobody and I had to call. Then, we had to walk to the apartment, which was not at 5 Doughty Street as I thought but a bit further and on a very noisy street. Finally, little things were missing in the apartment and it took 3 days to solve (for a stay of 5 days). very small room, I have had appartments much much larger with a welcome food box and drinks added in, better quality overall and for less. I will not be using this appartment again. No staff. I was emailed 3 times for arrival time, each time I responded, they then rang me up! I was not in Doughty Street flats but taken to a noisy flat on Grays Inn Road which I would not have agreed to pay £200 a night for.
