  I booked room here after seeing a post on CouchSurfing and did not expect much (as they offer such a low price) since I just planned to stay for three days while looking for another place for 5months. Even if you travel alone, this is where you would find an escape from the busy Bangkok out there and I ill - Had a great time in this guesthouse, during my 4-days stay. It's located in a quiet area (pretty rare in Bangkok, I guess), just 10 minutes walk for the nearest BTS station (Surasak) and 15 minutes walk from the Central Pier (where you can take the boats to the main turistic zones). The rooms are simply furnished but cozy and – without any doubt – the price is really cheap for all that. Our room was immaculate and the staff, including the owners were extremely hospitable and helpful. When ever I'm next in Bangkok it will be the first place I stay.   De Talak Hostel was a great place to stay at! It is a simple but nice and clean hostel, the room (we had the 4 bed family room w/ private bathroom) had one double bed and two single beds, a desk and two lockers (with separate keys).   Was blown away by the hostel's design and setup. I originally was going to stay for 3 nights and did 4 instead. There was a huge common area with 7 or 8 computer to use, a free pool table, tons of places to sit and chat, and a little cafe that serves beers 24/7. I stayed in. A 6 bed dorm, all beds had two plugs to use - Absolutely delightful stay with Saphaipae Hostel :) Helpful and friendly staff that make you feel right at home.
