  The room was absolutely beautiful. We liked the hotel better than the Pathumwan Princess which is very expensive, which we stayed at last time. It was so convenient, close to the popular Khao San Road and right on a ferry wharf on the Chao Phraya River. Its location is ideal particularly as the river boat stops just outside the hotel. The rooms are beautifully made and if you are lucky enough to book a room over looking the river it is certainly worth the exra cost.   We arrived at the Anantara in the evening and were promptly checked in and shown our room. It took a few minutes for us honeymooners to realise we had been given twin beds much to our dismay, guest services offered to move us to another room but we had to wait a couple of hours for it to be available, not a great start....
