  I have a home in Thailand, and I often pass through Bangkok going to/from North When I stay on the Sukhumvit side of town, I often stay at the President Palace, which is very central and only 1/2 a block off of Sukhumvit Road. However, on a recent stay I had friends staying at the "Phachara Suites Sukhumvit Bangkok" and I joined them. The rooms are new, fresh, great - The rooms were excellent with kitchenette, washing machine and great decor, two televisions one in sitting area and one in bedroom. I arrived for an early check in after a night flight and the reception staff were accomadting and made a special effort to get me a room with a balconey ( as requested) a soon as possible. Duly got the room after 30 minutes . Great location for entertainment and restaurants. Secuirty good. Seven eleven store just over the road for food and drinks.

The swimming pool is good but if you want to catch the sun you only have a window of a few hours in the afternoon as the pool sits between the 2 buildings of the Hotel. I have stayed here a couple of times now and would definitely recommend it.

  Hotel solo is a very comfortable, clean hotel. It's a good location, just 10 minutes walk from the BTS SkyTrain Ploen Chit station. The room was a good size and the bathroom separated the shower and the toilet. The shower has a really nice rainshower in it.   Great! I love this area whenever I got to Bangkok for the weekend. Great for if you are looking for a good area, close to all the good restaurants (fancy or nonfancy) shopping, clubs. They have a shuttle to take you down the street to the bst which is perfect.   Great location with BTS station right in front of the hotel! Friendly staff always ready to help the guest and fulfil my requests (gave me free early c.in when I arrived before 12 a.m and late c.out until 2pm and got facility to take shower and refresh before night flight).
