This was our best stay in NZ. The lady at the reception ( Elina) is so helpful. She gave us great advice as to when to leave for Milford sound, not to book unless you are going or lunch cruise, early morning tkts are easily available. She also upgraded us to a better room, the view from the room was excellent. My wife loved the place. We were so happy that we stayed one day more. Kitchen facilities OK, but a little cramped. Knowledgable, responsive and friendly staff. Some people complain about sand flies in the room, but we had the windows open all night with no bites. Te Anau is a great location for visiting the sounds and the lakes.
