Room was great. Quiet street with sound proof windows and walls. The owner, Umberto was very helpful and friendly as was the staff. Would stay here again next time in Bologna. the shared kitchen was both a surprise and a bonus. The staff and the accomodation were first class. peacefulness, nice swimming pool. The reality of the 900m path through the countryside to the centre of Castellina was rather different than I imagined. I could not find anything that I'd call a path and there is a valley to cross meaning that the walk is steep and tricky at both ends. At the time of my visit there were heavy rains which made conditions underfoot too slippery. I had to drive.
