  We arrived at the hotel apartment around 6.30pm, an hour or so later than expected. I called the number of the hotel and a lady came to open up for us. She was very helpful and very pleasant and really couldn't do enough.   We stayed 3 nights at San Petronio Vecchio, and it was a perfect base for exploring Bologna as most areas were within walkingdistance. The room and bathroom were elegantly decorated, and it was kept spotlessly cleen.
