We booked the smaller, cheaper room, which if you are on a budget was more than adequate.
Next time, and there will be a next time, we will book a larger room.
The brekkie was superb, good quality ingredients which in these
hard times is so important, because if you feel the quality isn't there, you feel somehow cheated… not so here; if you opt for less than the full monty they make it up in an extra rasher of bacon or extra tomato.

From the minute we arrived we were made to feel very welcome at the Aaron Guest House. Its location was excellent only a short walk into York centre with some lovely pubs and restaurants near by.
Breakfast each morning was lovely, a great start to the day.
We would recommend a stay here to anyone, couples or familys alike.
Julian and his wife run a very warm and friendly B&B and we'll definately return in the near future.

Look no further, this place is great. Start the day with a delicious English breakfast and then walk to town which is 5 minutes away. There are affordable restaurants just around the corner. Comfy beds, good shower and the best wifi service we have had in 6 weeks.

A friendly, clean and nicely furnished Guest House. The breakfast was excellent quality and was cooked to however you like and came in no time at all! It took us 10 mins max to walk into town and passed by cafe's, pubs/restaurants and shops on the way. Julian is very accomodating and let us stay on in our room, which was very kind.
Amazing hotel! Julian the owner is LOVELY and welcoming! Breakfast is a full English breakfast and is amazing. The hotel is a 10 min walk to the train station and 5 min away from the main part of the city. The rooms are comfortable and cosy and the bed was DELICIOUS!!! Will absolutely recommend.
my wife and I were very pleased with the welcome that we had from Julian, the room was nice and clean,and the breakfast was the fastest and nicest I've had. very convenient for going into York city centre. I will definitely go back again highly recommended. thanks again Julian.
The welcome from Julian was very nice and he is a genuine nice guy we loved the breakfast which was just right amount for the wife and I and the service is top draw. This is a good guest house for the price we paid and Julian is great host and we will be back again soon.
Parking right outside house was convenient,pleasant room and comfortable bed, ceiling fan came in handy.

Julian and his team were fantastic couldn't ask for anything more he was very tentative to our needs and nothing was a problem fantastic breakfast and lovely freshly brewed coffee in the morning just what was needed after a night out in York everything was spot on!.

The friendliness of staff , comfortable bed , cleanliness of rooms & pleasing decor.,ease of parking too! Julian went out of his way to show us a short cut to rail museum which was a big bonus!

Julian was a friendly, kind and gracious host, plus a great cook! Breakfasts were excellent. Location made for an easy stroll to Bootham Bar, York Minster and the old city. Beds were entirely comfortable.

We liked the location. It is just ten minutes walking to city centre. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the english breakfast looked nice but we prefer some toasts. :).

Breakfast slot is 8-9 am, would have liked it later especially sun morn....couldnt find remote control for tv but wasnt a real problem.

Bedroom was a little noisy from overhead aircraft earlier in evening (but that was probably due to fact it is not double glazed) but it didn't last long!.
Our room was very small but did the job and more importantly, it was clean.
Space in the bathroom was a bit tight, but workable.
