  Charming hosts, very friendly. Food quantity and quality was excellent. How a traditional village Inn should be - lots of atmosphere, 1st class folk musicians on the night, locals very friendly and welcoming. - Very welcomming, excellent room, cheerful staff, entertainment first class!

  This is a fairly new and beautifully appointed hotel. We stayed in an Executive Suite which was a lovely room. The room was spotless, the bed wonderfully comfortable and great corner settee to lounge on. The hotel is opposite the grounds of Blenheim Palace. It is situated on a main road, there was no problem with road noise. There is a train ... vad folk säger » station 5 minutes walk away, you can jump on a train to Oxford, only a 9 minute journey away and have no worries about parking. Really convenient. B - The Courtyard Woodstock Hotel is a new building just 3 minutes from the train station that has a 10 minute train ride to Oxford and Cotswold villages.There are also good bus connections to Woodstock Blenheim Palace and other Cotswold villages. Easy to get to public footpaths for country walks. The staff in the onsight cafe is very pleasant and friendly.

  The location was perfect being close to all the shops and pubs in Woodstock. Everything about the hotel was excellent, no complaints at all. - We enjoyed the relaxed attitude of the staff. They made us feel that we could treat the hotel as our home.

  The owners are very friendly and very, very accommodating (e.g., gave me a ride to my audition!). The room I stayed in was very clean and cozy, very nicely decorated, nice view from the window, plus lots of light and fresh air. Excellent way to start off the day, and the breakfast room is very pretty and peaceful. The location of The Townhouse is fantastic, right in the m - "No place is better than home". That was written in the kitchen of this fantastic b&b. It's different from every other hotel in woodstock because You can try to live as English do. In a very English home and in the morning have breakfast in a very English kitchen with excellent cooks that prepare You whatever You want. Position perfect to join in a few minutes Blenhaim park and palace.

  Very nice staff, very helpfull and enthusiastic. The evening room bed turn down service, especially topping up tea and coffee which we had used was a very nice touch. - Great surroundings, wonderfull village, very helpfull staff and a great bedroom.

  Everything - we love Woodstock and Now Love the Star Inn . We usually stay at the Feathers but having seen the refurbishment going ahead we decided to have a change. It's friendly and laid back and the decor is beautiful . The breakfast was also very nice - we choose a small full english and fresh orange juice ( no Eggs benadict on the menu ,but... vad folk säger » can live without it -so OK ) and the brown seeded bread that came with it was great . The other great attraction is you can book for just one night - We received a great reception at the Stay Inn. This a lovely old pub with beautiful oak beams. The staircase is not for the feint hearted. Our bedroom was very comfortable with a soft mattress, the large walk in shower was ideal. The restaurant ambiance and food were excellent, all the staff were great but Joe especially made such a great effort. Great breakfast. Very highly recommended right in Woodstock centre.

  Good location right in the centre of Woodstock. Food-wise we had a cream tea one afternoon and breakfast both mornings, both of which were really tasty (the full english is a generous size). Our room was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated, it had a real country feel to it. We were front facing but as Woodstock is such a quiet town there... vad folk säger » was no noise in the evenings. Staff very friendly and helpful. - The Blenheim Buttery is a quirky, small and friendly b & B. We immediately felt welcome and at home. There is a wonderful coffee shop/cafe/restaurant. The breakfast was fabulous and although some comments have suggested that service is slow, it was cooked fresh to order and hence there is going to be a small wait. We would definitely stay again.
