We loved our stay! The hotel was beautiful and spotless. The complimentary breakfast was also very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our family room (slept 3) was beautiful. It had a nice, large bathroom and everything was very clean. We felt it was reasonable priced and only a short walk from the train station and shops. We would defi

They also has great suggestions for child-friendly places to eat and a wonderful location where we could walk wherever we wanted to go. Our room was also very comfortable with more than enough space for us and all of our kids accessories.

fantastic place to stay,ran by lovely couple Steve & Gail.
after a long journey our exhaust bracket on car had snapped,while Gail showed us to our room Steve strapped exhaust up to get us home after our stay.
the room was clean & nicely decorated with everything we mite need,bathroom was clean & a good size.

- Windemere town is a few minutes walk and the lake approx 15mins walk (or £3.50 taxi)

- Direct access to room from garden by the car park making it easy to bring in bags and not disturd anyone if getting in late

Great value B&B for myself and my baby. Our single room was upgraded
to a tripple, cot and high chair were provided at no extra cost. Tv in
lounge which we were able to use (but didn't). Clean and

The hotel communal areas and our room were spotlessly clean and well decorated. Lovely room overlooking the rear gardens. Breakfast was exceptional due to the choice and flexibility of options available. Owners and staff were friendly, but left you to your own devices, which was good. Option to order champagne for the room on arrival, which we did!

Our rooms were charming and comfortable. Martin gave us great recommendations for eating in town, and for taking drives around the area. It was the perfect Lake District guest house experience!

Everything was exceptional. The place is a typical country house with very clean rooms with white crisp towels and bed linen. I am a wheelchair user (complete paraplegic) and found the access to be excellent. I would go as far to say that Meadowcroft is probably one of the best places I've stayed for disabled room facilities. The option to book a disabled room from the website is a very good touch, I usually have to phone ahead to confirm that the room is appropriate for my needs and available, which this function eleviated, if only other sites/hotels did this.
The room was spacious, comfortable and extremely clean.
