  We were greeted by a very friendly man who couldn't do enough for us. He allowed us into our room much earlier than usual as we wanted to get ready for a wedding nearby. The room was lovely, clean and had all the necessary bits and bobs we needed (including a hand-held magnifying mirror!). Beds were comfortable, the bathroom was light and clean. ... vad folk säger » Breakfast was good, plenty of it and good, prompt service. Would recommend this hotel to others. - A lovely inn with good, clean rooms and a good sized ensuite bathroom ..and, at times, a working TV... sinceours didn't work!. However, everybody pulled out all the stops to get the TV in working order; alas, it was not to be. We were offered free drinks as compensation in the pub, which we appreciated very much. Other than this amusing story, we had a great time in this lovely place and would definitely go back!

  Wow, we stayed here in Dec 09 and it is wonderful, no wonder its the aa funkiest guest house in the whole UK! will return and would recommend highly, try the Bowness suite, it has its own pation, amazing bathroom and your breakfast magically appears out of nowhere! - The staff made us very welcome and the room was fantastic will be staying there a... vad folk säger » gain.

  Everything about the Hotel is first class. From the moment we checked in the staff are so friendly and very professional everything was excellent. It was my birthday and we had chocolates left in the room and also a nice touch there had been placed a hot water bottle in the bed. Never had that before.   A beautiful hotel in a great location. A warm and friendly atmosphere. Very helpful hosts. Lovely rooms, and a fantastic view from the coniston room which we stayed in. Especially on easter sunday morning, with the snow. A gorgeous breakfast, and dining room.   Couldn't fault anything- staff and Hoteliers were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely and clean (with several little 'personal touches') as was the rest of the Guest House and all very tastefully decorated.
