  Good friendly atmosphere, comfortable, spotlessly clean recently refurbished room. We booked an evening meal and were delighted with the quality, we had the gammon and haddock (not together) and both were excellent All the staff we met were really friendly and helpfull. - - Very welcoming staff - Nice modern bedroom - Nice selection of beers/cid... vad folk säger » ers (pub) - Very nice food (big portions)at very good price - Location was ideal to visit other places in the Lake District -Parking space - The little dog is cute... :O)

  We have stayed at the Crown Inn on a number of occasions and always enjoy our stay. Coniston is a lovely location, the staff at the Crown Inn always make visitors very welcome, and the food is great. - The quality of food and relaxing atmosphere after a stiff days walk.   Excellent location with fabulous views of the surrounding fells and The Old Man of Coniston from our room No.1 The staff were all very friendly and attentive to our needs which included making up a packed lunch for a day walking in the surrounding fells. Would definitely stay here again - waking up to a fabulous view of the mountains from our bed ... vad folk säger » in room 1, priceless. - Friendly welcome from the owner and a lovely room to spend the 3 nights that I did. Good, hearty breakfasts to set you up for a day on the fells - so much so I didnt need anything else until the evening. Parking is easy (midweek admittedly) and free on the road opposite. Good location with all amenities - and pubs - within easy reach.
