It was immaculate and the owner could not have done enough for us. We had a pet collie with us and this was not a problem at all and we occupied the ground floor accomodation. Informative folder in the room full of useful information about the local area such as directions, things to do and restaurants etc. Well stocked tea tray in room and owners very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

My cousin and I stayed 3 nights at the Wharncliffe and we loved everything we encountered - the proprietors were lovely, and their keenness when it came to security was a plus. There was ample choice of both hot and cold items in the delicious breakfasts. Everything had been chosen discerningly from the quality of the sausages and jams to the welcoming sweets/chocolates in the rooms on the hospitality tray. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable with superb views over the sea.

The Grainary is a working farm, with a B&B on the side, so if you like the atmosphere of a farm, off on the edge of the moors, you'll love it. Children are especially well catered for, as they have every imaginable farm animal in the fields near the house, plus dogs, rabbits, a ferret and certainly one or two I've missed.
