  Little extras in the rooms - decanter of whserry, fresh fruit etc - makes all the difference. Also very friendly helpful staff - Everything. It is a fantastic hotel with excellent service.

  Rooms were as pictured on internet with fabulous views. Spacious for two people sharing with all the accessories you would need like hairdryer,iron etc.Good parking area and access to grounds for walks.Food was excellent and staff friendly and approachable. - It was a very relaxed atmosphere with pleasant, friendly staff and extremely good food. ... vad folk säger » Hotel room was clean with a lovely comfortable bed and plenty of storage space.   The family room was an excellent size with a powerful shower and three full size beds. The staff were very friendly. It was in a lovely location a few miles from Oakham. We would definitely return. - Relaxed atmosphere and friendliness of staff, nice food, clean and comfortable bedroom, easy access to local main roads.

  Everything about it - Reception was warm and friendly - Bar service was tops and reasonably priced. Wine selection was good, attention to detail super, most of all the food was out of this world. Worthy of top chef awards. We thought all the staff paid attention to detail and worked hard to ensure you enjoyed your stay.   The location on the banks of Rutland water are unbelievable. I am a regular user of this hotel and like it so much I came back for their Christmas package in 2008; I must say that the staff are always friendly and make you feel at home.   Can't fault the food, good honest home cooked food, extraemly good sized portions and very well cooked, not the usual "fine dining " served up in country inns, which is why we booked up at the pheasent, the mixed grill is a must!! not silly pots with drizzel on the plates but a good well presented dish.. well done!! also beer was very good and wel... vad folk säger » l kept. breakfast was again like the evening meal, superb, set me up for the whole day, did not eat again till near 8pm so thanks again and if we were - Great welcome from assistant manager Ryan. E He has excellent customer service skills. The room was pleasant the beds good quality and the area quiet and rustic. Was babysiting for the family who were at a wedding at a larger hotel close to Oakham and the room rate was half that hotel and comfort wise we experienced twice as much. For a 10 min drive stay at The Old Pheasant Inn

  Really liked it , what stood out from most hotels was all the staff were young? But the most impressive thing was that these young staff were absolutely superb they had good personality s and were so efficient? 10 out of 10 for the whole team. - We had a fantastic weekend.   The Whipper-In was a pleasant surprise. The room was incredibly cosy and beautifully decorated with names given not numbers.
