We had a fabulous one night stay at The Chester Residence. Staff were very helpful and the suite was fantastic. All rooms were very spacious (we had the 1st floor suite) and the location was only about 5 minutes walk from Haymarket and Princes Street. ... vad folk säger » a stuffy hotel any day of the week! - The location was fairly close to the center of the city (20 minute walk). The neighborhood was quiet and clean. Flat screen tv with multiple satellite channels. Kitchen well stocked daily with breakfast/snack items. Reception/housekeeping more than helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone and return to this hotel without a doubt.

The apartment space was luxurious, comfortable, very well thought out and utilised - with modern open-plan living in mind, balcony with fold back door to seamlessly bring the outside space in, serviced to a high standard daily; friendly and very helpful staff. Very central location at the 'Lawnmarket' on the 'Royal Mile' in the Old Town, in the shadow of the castle itself - great for sight- seeing most within a very short walking distance and only a short bus ride to others.

The older gentleman working in the reception was a perfect example of hospitality and he also seemed to have a great knowledge of Edinburgh, which he shared generously.

We arrived and were greeted by Stuart, who was very friendly and courteous during our check-in process. Then he took the time to give us a map and explain the many different things to see and do and made suggestions on how to go about it. He was very helpful. The apartments are spacious and had everything we could need. The staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating. We arrived early in Edinburgh and they allowed us to check-in 4 hours early.

Brilliant location for the Fringe festival and town etc.
The bed was so comfortable and duvet and pillows gorgeous - a real treat. Everything we wanted to feel home from home with a modern edge. Will definitely be staying again but will book for longer next time!
