We absolutely loved everything about this place. It is very close to bus station, train station and super market and lots of restaurants. At the same time, it is not very noisy and very crowded. We had absolute freedom and no interference from the owners/ letting agency. Would definitely recommend this place to my friends -

Thank you - The hotel is in an ideal location if you are not looking to be right in the centre of Edinburgh, the Edinburgh Park Train Station is perfectly located jst behind the hotel and is only 2 stops from Waverly. The dinner in the hotel was lovely as was the breakfast.

The basement apartment was nice, cosy and warm. It was also quiet - but it depends on your neighbours. The bed was comfortable and what is important when it's cold - heating was on :) Everything we needed was there. If you smoke you can easily go outside on the small terrace from the living room - no need to go out on the street. Bedroom, kitchen

Great apartment - has everything a tired traveler would need, not least a milk&paper shop literally on the doorstep and a fine Nepali restaurant nearby too. Not too far from town, and close to a bracing walk up the crags. Swimming pool/fitness close by too.

I would absolutely stay here again. - Very courteous accomodating hosts, they were very flexible. Duly answered all our queries and made us feel at home, very quickly. Excellant customer service. The room was spacious and well furnished. We had a street facing room but the noise wasn't bad at all. You are given keys to the front door and your room on arrival so you aren't restricted by times. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay (and remained so even though we had a blip).

work well so we called and someone came and esorted us to the B&B.

made me feel at home immediately. There were nearby bus stops but I had
preferred to walk (about 15 minutes to Waverley Station). A large
supermarket (Tesco) is 5 minutes away and so are a number of
restaurants. I went on a day tour that set off early in the morning and
John (the owner) gladly served breakfast earlier than usual for me, so
that was great hospitality. If it were not fully booked, I'd have

The 23 Mayfield was a total delight! The staff was amazing - everyone seemed like genuinely nice people and happy to help. The hotel owner even gave us an excellent advice what to do and see further in Scotland and let us leave our car in their not so big car park even thought we stayed for only one night. Ross was a very welcoming and relaxed host. He provided us with some good recommendation for locations to visit whilst in Scotland. Breakfast was a gourmet experience with a great range for vegetarians (i had the Campbell's vegetarian haggis both mornings). Room was tastefully decorated and a good size. We enjoyed a cold beer in the oudoor room, which was just what we needed after a full days travel.
