absolutely worthy, the owner of the place is lovely, i really felt at home at oaklands... if you're planning to go to the island, this is the place to stay, best quality for money - nothing was too much trouble for the proprietors - they even ordered good weather for our stay!!! The small fridge in our room was an excellent idea.

Everything about the stay was brilliant! The lady who greeted us on arrival (I think this is the owner) was so friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is beautiful - even down to the furniture in the lounge. We overslept and missed breakfast, (which we was gutted about) so I can't comment on that... We will defiantely be returning when on future

Exactly what I was looking for, it was in a great location. My room had a great view of the harbor, the staff was very friendly and they made it easy for me to check in as soon as I arrived even though the staff wasn't on site at the time. I room was big with large ensuite bathroom. I would definitely stay here again.

I cannot praise the Fernbank enough. The owner could not have been more helpful or hospitable. The hotel is beautifully decorated cared for. The public areas were very relaxing to sit in. The room I stayed in was spotless and very comfortable.

The staff were excellent and made you feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble for them. The Hotel was furnished well and very comfortable, lovely gardens to relax in if the weather was good and a very nice heated indoor pool. Breakfast was excellent with a big choice and plenty of it. The Fernbank delivers a high quality of service and comfort and we would certainly go back.

My children really loved staying at Sandown Manor: they called it the "best hotel they'd ever stayed at". The enjoyed the animals, games and playroom very much. The owners were extremely kind and helpful with us. They made us feel at home and willing to come back very soon.

Probably the best B&B I have stayed in within the UK (and I have been to a lot). Very friendly owners and lovely clean room! We stayed in the Captain's Room which was nicely decorated with very large bathroom. The room had an ironing board, hair dryer, coffee and tea maker, and pretty much any toiletries one could need. Lots of little details that were great, many of which mentioned before. A top notch English breakfast for me, and a willingly adapted breakfast for my Turkish girlfriend. Silent fridge and silent ceiling fan were both much appreciated in the room. Ensuite shower also good with plenty of power. -
